WCPE Episode 155 – Wonder Woman Movie Review

“It’s about what you believe. And I believe in love. Only love will truly save the world.”

Let’s be honest here… it’s not often that a movie lives up to the hype preceding it. Most movies fall short. But not Wonder Woman, which debuted last weekend as the #1 movie at the box office. Included in those box office numbers are the ticket sales from the Worst. Comic. Podcast. EVER! guys and their families. We took our wives, we took our daughters and our sons. And everyone across the board is loving this movie!

“A pair of glasses, and suddenly she’s not the most beautiful woman you’ve ever seen?”

Gal Gadot, Chris Pine and the rest of the cast and crew have delivered a perfect summer movie, with a nice mix of character development, action sequences, humor and universe building. We spend a good portion of the podcast discussing all of the many things we loved about the movie, as well as offer up a couple of minor points that we might have liked to have seen done differently.

“Be careful in the world of men, Diana, they do not deserve you.”

Beyond our movie discussion, we spend some time discussing Marvel events that can be found in the Marvel Unlimited app. We also pick up on a suggestion left on our Facebook page over the weekend, whether any stories from the Big 2 companies could be Academy Award worthy, provided they are done up in the right manner. We give a lot of suggestions, none of which involve Devil Dinosaur or Young Heroes in Love.

We would love to hear your comments on the show. Let us know what you’ve been reading or watching this week. Contact us on our website, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or by email. We want to hear from you! As always, we are the Worst. Comic. Podcast. EVER! and we hope you enjoy the show.
