Jerry and I had a blast at this week’s Spectrum Fantastic Art Live show and thanks to our new friends at the Illustration Academy, I got to meet an artistic legend.
Bill Sienkiewicz is an Eisner Winner, an Inkpot Award winner, an Eagle Award Winner, a Kirby Award winner and on and on and on. He is an artist that helped show many of us completely new styles of painting and abstraction that very few thought could work in comics but we have seen him be successful over and over and to set the stage for other artists to diversify the styles in the medium.
Bill will be teaching in the fourth week of this year’s illustration academy right here in Kansas City. This five-week course features daily rigorous learning experiences focused on mentorship and professional advancement. Students can enroll in anywhere from 1 week to all five!
