It is a great thrill for the guys of the Worst. Comic. Podcast. EVER! to sit down with Kansas City comic book creator Rick Stasi. From the earliest conventions we ever attended, going back to the Mo-Kan shows at the Jack Reardon Center or the Ranchmart basement, a fixture at the shows has always been Rick. Beyond his outgoing personality, his art feels right at home alongside the likes of Dick Sprang and Curt Swan.
But as we have found out over the years at the show, there is a lot more to Rick beyond the comics. He’s a poet and an actor, a writer and a visionary. We’ve seen Rick expand his reach with his first book, Funny You Should Ask, and a two-CD set of audio readings, Talking To Myself (To You!). Check out his website, RickStasi.com, to get a copy of these projects.
Next month, Rick is bringing his works to a live performance event here in Kansas City. On December 4, Rick is bringing his musings to Prospero’s Books (1800 W 39th St., Kansas City, MO) for a live reading at 3 PM. The Worst. Comic. Podcast. EVER! will be there, and we hope to see you there, too.
We would love to hear your comments on the show. Let us know what you’ve been reading or watching this week. Contact us on our website, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or by email. We want to hear from you!
As always, we are the Worst. Comic. Podcast. EVER! and we hope you enjoy the show.
