After taking some time off, the guys of the Worst. Comic. Podcast. EVER! are back in the studios for a brand new podcast. We catch up on our summer reading, some thoughts on more of the DC Rebirth books, and the general chit-chat between the three of us that some of you seem to enjoy.
We then go over our schedule for the next two weeks. First, you can find all three of us at Kansas City Comic Con at Bartle Hall August 12-14. We will be at booth #821, as well as hosting a lot of panels. Check out our Facebook Events page for a full list of the panels we will be hosting.
The following weekend (August 17-21), Jerry and John will be attending MidAmeriCon II, which is the local name for WorldCon, the world science fiction convention. This will be the second time that WorldCon has visited Kansas City – the first time was in 1976! One of the highlights of each WorldCon is the Hugo Awards, which is the science fiction community’s equivalent of the Oscars or the Eisners.
To get us ready for MidAmeriCon II, we brought in Jeff Smith and Carl Anderson, who are handling the local marketing for the convention. They give us all of the details of the show – who you might see, the panels, the astronauts, the Star Wars event and so much more. If you can’t wait to hear this interview, fast-forward to the 33:10 mark to get the inside scoop on the con.
In full disclosure, we recorded this a few weeks ago, and the MidAmeriCon has been making additional announcements of new guests and events. We recommend that you check out the MidAmeriCon II website to get the most up-to-date details on the show, as well as information on ordering tickets.
As always, we are the Worst. Comic. Podcast. EVER! and we hope you enjoy the show.
