So, who’s got six thumbs and just rocked Planet Comicon all weekend? Of course, that would be the Worst. Comic. Podcast. EVER!
We tell ourselves every year that this was the best PCC ever. Chris Jackson, Kirk Chritton and the crew hosted the most epic party in Kansas City history, but now they have their work cut out for them to find a way to make 2017 even greater. Good luck guys!
The doors may have opened at noon, but we like to think that the show didn’t start until the WCPE panel at 4 on Friday afternoon. We had a great turnout, we had lots of laughs. we found out Cullen can’t throw to save his life, and we met so many friends. Speaking of our friends, most everyone should have left that room with some great swag, from autographed comics and prints to free books to Milk & Cheese trading cards! Thank you to everyone who came out, and make plans now to attend our panel next year.
Speaking of panels, we had an incredible experience hosting so many panels throughout the weekend. Over the weekend, we talked about everything from Southern Bastards to Suicide Squad to the Marvel Universe. A big thank you to all of the panelists that took part in the events over the last three days.
We saw so many familiar faces throughout the convention, and we made a lot of new friends. It’s going to be hard to name EVERYONE who we bumped into or reconnected with. Even if we tried, we would just leave someone out. So please know we appreciated seeing you again, and we cannot wait until our paths cross again.
One of our new best friend of the show is artist Karl Moline, who was a guest at our table this weekend. Karl did some great sketches and sold some prints to help benefit the Hero Initiative! He also made some connections so expect to see some new cover work from Karl later this year!
We want to give a huge shout-out to our table-mates that had to put up with us all weekend long. The guys representing the MidAmeriCon II (Jeff, Carl, and Mark) were super cool all weekend, and this show in August sounds incredible. Seriously, if George R.R. Martin is planning on attending the show, so should you! Get your five-day ticket now, and you can take part in voting for the 2016 Hugo Awards.
We have a Facebook photo album set up with our PCC photos, and come back throughout the week as we get all of our photos from our various phones loaded to one location.
We are the Worst. Comic. Podcast. EVER! and we hope you enjoyed the con!
