In the words of Peaches and/or Herb, we are reunited and it feels so good. Cullen, Jerry, and John are back in the studio TOGETHER to record this week.

However, it’s a somber reunion, as we share our thoughts of memories of the late Darwyn Cooke, who passed away last weekend from cancer. Cooke had a distinctive style to his characters, which could be seen in The New Frontier to Selena’s Big Score to The Spirit. He reminded us constantly that it’s OK for our heroes to smile, and for the comics to be fun.

The passing of Cooke from cancer is a brutal reminder of why an organization like The Hero Initiative is so important. We have volunteered our time for Hero for more than a decade, trying to raise awareness and funds. At the bottom of every podcast post, there is a link to the Hero Initiative website. We encourage you to visit the site, find out more about the organization, and find ways to make a donation.
