Beth Sotelo started coloring comics in 2001 at Top Cow Productions. She has since worked at DC and Marvel and is currently coloring at Aspen Comics.
One of the things that drew me to Beth’s table at SDCC was her original artwork printed on rectangular aluminum ‘cards’. Some of these were her artwork and some were her coloring on the sketches of her husband Joel Gomez. You can see a couple of examples below as well as more on her website (see the links below the pictures).
Besides this work, Beth and I also discussed her original comic GRUMP! which she both wrote and drew after a successful Kickstarter campaign.
Below you can see an image of GRUMP from the Kickstarter, Beth’s illustration of where almond milk comes from and an example of her coloring on Joel’s version of Harley Quinn.
