Good morning, Kansas City! We are now just two weeks away from the inaugural Kansas City Comic Con, which will be running August 7-9 at Bartle Hall in Kansas City, MO. To get us prepared for the show, we sat down with Matt Driscoll (owner) and Justin Cline (Social Media Coordinator) to discuss the challenges of a first year show, establishing their brand in the market, and what exactly is the deal with all of the henchmen running around the show floor. We finish up by testing this dynamic duo with a round of Fan Friendly Feud – do you know what Batman keeps in his utility belt?
Despite their rookie status, this feels like a veteran show with years of experience. From the guest line-up to the panels to the con exclusives, there is something for everyone to enjoy. Celebrities and creators and cosplayers – oh my!
Tickets are available through TicketMaster, as well as at the door. Show dates and times are:
- Friday, August 7 – 1 PM to 7 PM
- Saturday, August 8 – 10 AM to 7 PM
- Sunday, August 9 – 10 AM to 5 PM
As if all of this wasn’t incredible enough, the Worst. Comic. Podcast. EVER! will be set up at a booth or a table or maybe by one of the concession stands. Please stop by and check in with us. We want to find out how your show is going and what kind of cool purchases you have made.
