It is a special Wednesday release of the Worst. Comic. Podcast. EVER! as the WCPE crew convened at Leawood Pioneer Library for the Johnson County (KS) Library’s Fandom Celebration day. Jerry, Cullen and our friend Jim interviewed comic creator Anthony ‘AO’ Oropeza about his background, his process, and the character he created, Amigoman. As you will be able to hear, this show interview was conducted in front of a live audience.

Anthony Oropeza is a Kansas City native that loved comics growing up and noticed a distinct lack of diversity on the shelves. He decided to make his own original character based in many ways on his own experiences and Amigoman was born. Years later, Anthony regularly goes to schools and libraries to talk about artwork and the process of making comics to inspire kids to pursue their own creative endeavors in school.

While you listen to the show, be sure to take a look at AO and Amigoman on the web:

Be sure to come back on Friday and check out part two of our library podcast!
