We’re back! Did you miss us? Because we really missed you! Hope last weekend was as fun for you as it was for us, as we spent it together in downtown Kansas City with the 2015 Planet Comicon!
Over the three days of the con, we met a lot of people – some were familiar faces and some were new ones. We did a kick-ass job in supporting the Hero Initiative, via book sales and donations. And we got to hang out with some of the coolest people we know…. and I’m not just talking about the three of us. This is like celebrity cool. Somewhere out there, Erin Grey still has John’s phone number, and she’s bound to call him for that interview soon, right? And don’t get us started on Robbie Amell — the good-looking half of Firestorm is even dreamier in person!
In addition to all of the convention chit-chat, we also finally take a look at Star Wars #3, which came out last week. All is right with the world as Chewbacca makes a triumphant return in this issue. We also talk about the artistic challenges of rendering real-life movie stars onto the comic book page.
At the end of our podcast, we give a quick look ahead. Want some hints? How about daily podcasts for the next two weeks! Or next week’s special guest Arie Monroe, who is going to debut some new artwork that will have you pleading, “Help me, Obi-Wan!” Seriously, how many more teases do we have to give you to get you to listen?
Folks, this is the Worst. Comic. Podcast. EVER!, and we hope you enjoy the show!
