The content gods have forsaken us. In an effort to automate our daily features we employed a third party app for scheduling our posts on Instagram but found out today all posts still have to be manually triggered either through the 3rd party app or through Instagram itself. So beginning tomorrow we’ll be posting the Superhero Yearbook posts as well as the Hero A Day posts on our Twitter. You’ll still get new content on Instagram but we’ll be using it to highlight weekly book picks and cosplay from the convention circuit. We’re sorry for the confusion and look forward to seeing you more on Twitter!
It’s a new year and with it has come a few changes to our regularly scheduled content. After 12 months of high-resolution card scans for the Comic Cards Cavalcade and Superhero Yearbook, we’ve eaten up a good chunk of our allotted hard drive storage space from our blog site provider. We’ll be moving these two features to other social media platforms beginning today, as well as adding three new features to our content schedule.
Superhero Yearbook is a weekly look through the Marvel and DC characters from the ’80s and will now be on our Twitter every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 1:00 PM PT here!
Comic Cards Cavalcade is a twice weekly post of comic themed trading cards from the ’90s and will now be on Facebook on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 1:00 PM PT. Check us out here!
(New!) Hero A Day is a new feature where we will be showcasing interior art from the Hero Initiative 100 projects and will be found on our Twitter at 8:00 AM PT. We’ll be posting a new selection for you every day all year long. You won’t believe your eyes when you see some of this amazing art.
(New!) Your Daily Cover is a new feature showcasing a comic book cover where the issue number corresponds to the calendar day for the year. So January 1 will feature a #1 cover issue, while December 31 will feature a #365 cover issue. This can be found on our Pinterest page.
(New!) Marvel Saga is a new monthly podcast feature from Jerry and Nicholas Prom with the Comic Reflections podcast. Each month, they will be looking at issues of the 1980s Marvel Saga series, which was putting the history of the Marvel Universe in chronological order. These shows are available from the WCPE podcast feed, so you should already be receiving them.
We’re so appreciative of your support and enthusiasm for comics and hope you’ll continue to enjoy what we’re doing. Here’s to a wonderful 2017 full of more comics and friendship with you!
