“And in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make.”
The final hours of 2016 are counting down. It’s been a crazy year for politics, world events, and sadly notable deaths. We thought maybe we were going to get by this last week without one more loss. But we were sadly wrong.
As we were preparing to record this episode, the news hit that actress Carrie Fisher had passed away. Carrie was THE Princess for so many people – the strong female lead from Star Wars who became a role model for generations of fans. We share our thoughts on what her screen presence has meant to each of us.
We then turn our attention back to the things that make us happy – comic books. It’s time for our annual take on the best of the year. Our favorite comics, creators, publishers, and movies of the last year. We even reached out earlier this month and invited our listeners to contribute their picks for the best of the year. We run through the 10 categories sharing our individual picks as well as the fans’ choices.
Now that the nominees are in place, we turn this over to you for the final winners. Please take a moment and fill out the survey below. You can select one of our nominees or write-in your own selection. We’ve even left room for you to give us your reasons why your selection is the correct one. Survey closes on January 24, 2017. As always, anyone that takes the survey will be entered into a WCPE giveaway. We will sort through the prize closet and come up with some cool awards for one lucky winner!
