With apologies to the Muppets, the Worst. Comic. Podcast. EVER! has been movin’ right along in search of good times and good news. With good friends, you can’t lose!
This could become a habit!
Cullen and Jerry attended Rose City Comic Con last weekend in Portland. Between the dozens, if not hundreds, of guests and the incredible success of the Hero Initiative table, this was a memorable convention. We met a lot of creators for the first time, as well as re-connected with many long-time friends.
At the Hero Initiative table, we spent the weekend with artist Ty Templeton, who was signing books and sketching both days. He had so many great stories to share and was a complete professional across the board. Seriously, you want to meet Ty at a show. While we are singing his praises, we should take the opportunity to mention a Kickstarter he has going on with David Gerrold, which is a great mash-up between Dr. Seuss and Star Trek. There are two weeks left, and they are very close to reaching their goal.
In addition to the con talk on this episode, we also discuss Panel Exploration beginning tonight in Omaha. We take a look at the DC Rebirth books from the end of August, including some potential deaths in some main titles. We try to main sense of Alan Moore’s latest grumpy diatribe, and John receives some belated birthday presents.
As always, we are the Worst. Comic. Podcast. EVER! and we hope you enjoy the show. Hey, I’ve never seen the sun come up in the West!
