Peter Shinkoda Panel – Kansas City Comic Con 2016

KCCC_Peter-ShinkodaAt the 2016 Kansas City Comic Con, John had the opportunity to host a panel with actor Peter Shinkoda, who has been featured in Daredevil and Falling Skies.

“Professor” John takes Peter on a journey through his life story – his family’s Japanese heritage, growing up in Canada and auditioning for Steven Spielberg. Peter discusses the roles he gets offered, and the challenges of those roles not being invited back for sequels. Note to any casting managers reading this post – Peter would love it if his character could survive long enough to see the closing credits.

We get the inside scoop on his last minute audition for Falling Skies and the opportunities that job gave him going forward. Peter also shares the long, secretive casting process for playing Nobu on Netflix’s Daredevil series.

For more information on Peter Shinkoda, follow him on Twitter.

We are quite thankful to Peter Shinkoda and the Kansas City Comic Con for giving us the opportunity to host this panel and many others. Check out the other panels we have posted from the convention. We are the Worst. Comic. Podcast. EVER!, and we hope you enjoy the show.
