Brian Herring Panel – Kansas City Comic Con 2016

At the 2016 Kansas City Comic Con, Cullen had the opportunity to host a panel with puppeteer Brian Herring, the man behind BB-8 in Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens.

Brian’s other projects involve a mix of puppeteering, voice-overs, motion-capture work and more. From Muppet Treasure Island to The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy to the opening ceremonies of the 2012 London Olympics, Brian has been in the middle of it all.

Cullen and Brian discussed the techniques used to bring BB-8 to life on the screen and working with the likes of Harrison Ford. But don’t expect any discussion on Episode VIII – with Brian’s contract with LucasFilm and Disney, a group of notorious bounty hunters will track down Brian if he utters a word about what may or may not happen in any future movie or movies.
