We are hunkered down in the WCPE basement recording studios to avoid the crippling heat of the first days of summer. Despite the scorching temperatures, we have a lot to go over with Cullen, John, and Jerry back together on the podcast.
We start out with some recaps of our road trips earlier this month. Jerry and John went to the Smallville ComicCon in Hutchinson, KS, where we hosted panels, recorded interviews, and hung out with a lot of really cool people! Check out last week’s show to get a taste of the Smallville show.
At that same time, Cullen took a trip to the University of Oregon, with a friend of the show Nicholas Prom of the Comic Reflections podcast. There they attended The Art of EC Comics exhibit at the Jordan Schnitzer Museum. Cullen’s mind was blown away with the art and the stories, from the likes of Wallace Wood, Basil Wolverton, John Severin, and more.
Earlier this week, we were treated a lot of DC media news, with Flashpoint coming to the DC TV world and Justice League casting info and story points being revealed. We also get into the first weeks of the DC Comics’ Rebirth.
We wrap things up some fun and games, with Fan Favorite Feud questions from Smallville, and an Over/Under looking back on the WCPE podcasts. As a reminder, if you insist on listening to all of our shows, we do encourage you to multi-task!
