WCPE Episode 101 – For June 1, 2016 – PCC Recap, DC’s Rebirth, Cap’s Retcon, and a Tiny Review!

wcpe-avatar.jpgAs you saw on our site earlier this week, the WCPE guys have spent the last week since recording our 100th podcast by asking, “What’s next?

The simple answer to that question is Episode 101! And there was much rejoicing, hip hip hooray!

Seriously, with so much experience now, we THINK (no promises!) that we have finally figured out how to produce a better-than-mediocre show! Over the next 75 minutes, you will hear conversations about:

  • Our adventures at Planet Comicon! It was so great to see so many friends! We did very well in raising funds for The Hero Initiative! We hosted some great panels! And we had so much fun!
  • Last Wednesday saw the release of two high-profile comic book releases. We give our thoughts on the DC Comics Rebirth, and all of the good vibes and happy feelings we got from that book.
  • On the flip side, we also read the new Captain America #1 from Marvel. Call it a marketing ploy, or call it a story two-years in the making by writer Nick Spencer, this comic had a lot of people talking – including us!
  • Finally, we wrap things up with an interview with Roland Mann and Deonna Herrold about their Kickstarter project, Tiny. Launched last week, this project is already fully funded, but you can still support it through the end of June. This is a comic book take on the Thumbelina fairy tale of lore, with a touch of the Disney Princess magic. If you want to jump right to the interview, fast-forward your playback to the 48:15 mark to hear about this awesome book.
