WCPE Episode 071 – For November 11, 2015 – October Sales Figures

Welcome back to one of our favorite days of the week – Friday!! Because that means it’s time for a new podcast from the Worst. Comic. Podcast. EVER!

wcpe-avatar.jpgWe take a detailed look at the October sales figures that were released earlier this week. To sum things up, it was a good month at Marvel Comics. The publisher placed 18 of the top 20 books for the month, including all of the Top 10. BOOM goes the dynamite!! (Note, this is not a dig at our friends over at BOOM Publishing or Dynamite Entertainment!) Anyway, we do our best to interpret the numbers to explain Marvel’s dominance of the top 20 – the Star Wars impact, the first issue effect, and the power of variant covers.

The guys give a run down of their New Comic Book Day pick-ups, and we take a look at the results of our James Bond poll last week on our Facebook page. Check out our page later today to find our newest survey. Finally, we wrap things up on a high note with the recent announcement from Mile High Comics of their upcoming warehouse relocation.

As always, we are the Worst. Comic. Podcast. EVER!, and we hope you enjoy the show.
