The guys of the Worst. Comic. Podcast. EVER! are all feeling blue this week. Royal Blue, that is, as we FINALLY get to celebrate a Royals World Series Championship! The last time the Royals won the World Series, it was the fall of 1985, and we were sophomores in high school, dreaming of a return appearance the next season, and what we were absolutely convinced would be the start of a Hall of Fame career for shortstop Buddy Biancalana!
Anyway, we can talk all night long about the Royals and the World Series. We’ll save that for another podcast. Instead, we’ll use this time to talk comics!
- Cullen gives us the run-down on Star Wars #11, which is our book of the year here at the WCPE.
- We review Cullen’s Four Comics I Want from this week, plus a look at the comics Jerry had pulled this week.
- Did you take part in our recent polls on the Facebook page? Go LIKE our page and take part in our newest poll – you won’t even need a license!
- Did you read Grayson #13? This issue inspired a lot of discussions online about trigger warnings based on the content within the comics, so we dive into that quagmire head first. Bottom line, police yourself people! (On a side note, check out Jerry’s I’ve Got Issues from earlier this week where he looks at the Grayson issue.)
As always, we are the Worst. Comic. Podcast. EVER!, and we hope you enjoy the show. Oh, and go Royals!
