WCPE Episode 044 – For May 20, 2015

On this episode of the Worst. Comic. Podcast. EVER!, the gang gets together to talk comics. Imagine that!

  • Star Wars #5, our book of the year at the WCPE podcast. We still really like this book, but it appears we are ready for Jason Aaron and company to expand the universe and introduce some new threats that we haven’t already seen in the films. #whereisChewie?
  • Thor #8, which finally gives us the answer to who is wielding Mjolnir for the last year. This book is great, and this completes the story arc that Jason Aaron has been working on for three years.
  • Secret Wars #1 and #2 garner mixed reactions from the group. Consensus is that issue #2 is a much stronger book, so please give it a try if you gave up after issue #1. The art from Esad Ribic is spectacular, well worth the price of admission.
  • A-Force #1 gets the gang fired up. John believes this book didn’t work, but the others disagree. Read this book and give us your thoughts.

We also dissect the Flash season 1 finale — LOVED IT!! This leads us into an interesting conversation about time travel and should you go back in time to change history.

Hillary gives us some great role suggestions for Matthew McConaughey in the DC and Marvel cinematic universes; John gives us an update on the DC All Access contest; and Jerry tests Cullen’s knowledge of the original Marvel Super Heroes Secret Wars cast.

We are the Worst. Comic. Podcast. EVER!, and we hope you enjoy the show.
