• A day after we recorded episode 618, we learned of the passing of writer Gerry Conway. Conway was part of the wave of new creators joining comics in the late 1960s and early 1970s. He quickly made his mark, taking over writing chores on Amazing Spider-Man from Stan Lee. Along the way, he helped co-create characters like the Punisher, Firestorm, Power Girl, Ms. Marvel, and many others.
• Is anyone getting mixed messages from Marvel Comics? A while back, a message went out from senior editorial that they were scaling back events, yet all of last week’s Comic Giveaway Day books were intros to upcoming events in Avengers, X-Men, Spider-Man and Hulk. 
• Jerrry finished season 2 of Daredevil and John is keeping up with The Boys.
