WCPEver Episode 453 – Con Scheduling and Comic Strip Cancellation

On this week’s episode of the Worst. Comic. Podcast. EVER!:

  • Seems like every weekend of late, there has been some kind of comic or toy show going on in the Kansas City area. Heck, It probably applies to all areas these days. We take a look this week at the business of starting up a con – how many cons are too many, and what happens if the market dries up. Trust us, we are not complaining about having too many shows to choose from.
  • This past week, the creator of the Dilbert comic strip, a mainstay of newspapers’ comic pages for decades, took to YouTube in a racist rant that seems to signal the end of a profitable career. We offer our thoughts on the subject. Hopefully, the door doesn’t hit him too hard on his way out of the industry.
  • We are just two weeks away from Planet Comicon, and the WCPE panel will be Saturday night at 6 PM. Lots of great giveaways planned for the panel, so plan on being there!
  • As always, we have our Pick 3 choices sponsored by our friends at Clint’s Comics.
